Sunday 9-12

Hello! So right now I'm writing from my German living room and I'm watching FC Koeln play FC Shalke. Shalke is winning 2-1 but there's still 20 minutes left in the game. Hopefully Koeln comes back and wins! I'm excited because I get to go to a Bundesliga game on the 23rd!

This weekend was good, we went to Scholl Bruehl on Friday, and got done there pretty early, so we went to the Hard Rock Cafe. The Hard Rock was pretty cool, it was smaller than normal, but I was dying for a bacon cheeseburger, and I got one there!

Friday night we met at the Capitol and there were a bunch of the kids from the Gymnasium there. The waitress at the Capitol officially recognizes us and knows our drink orders! I really love that little bar. We sat in the Biergarten that night and it was really nice. Then we went to a free dance club across the street. My friend talked my in to tequila, and that was pretty much the end of my night.

Because of the Tequila I couldn't move until around 2 PM yesterday. After I finally got moving and my headache and nausea went away I did some homework and made plans to go out again. Luckily everyone else cancelled because I really didn't want to go out again after the night before. Instead I stayed in and hung out with my host family, and it was really nice and a lot of fun! We watched some game show and some guy won a half a million euros. I was jealous.

Today I met Alex and Emily at Starbucks in Neumarkt, and we did a little bit of studying for our test. Then we went to Rudolphplatz and ate at the "American Sportsbar". I had a half rack of ribs. It was delicious! They had a bunch of NFL stuff on the walls and they had a vintage pic of the Buccaneers on their menus. No Steeler stuff. I was very dissappointed. Oh well. We watched Bremen vs. Hannover at the bar, and then FC Koeln came on so I wanted to come home and watch that. On the way home I saw a magical device called a Bier Bike. Basically there are 8 spots around a table and the people pedal and drink beer, and some guy steers. They were listening to die Prinzen. It was amazing :-) Tomorrow we start our regular school schedule, and our Lit class got cancelled, so I'll be done at Noon! First test on tuesday so I'll be studying my brains off!
